Collaboration project
This window installation brings together my stoneware objects and the textile compositions of Good Haven, whose practice reactivates everyday, found materials through intuition, minimal gestures, and a subtle sense of humor.
Ceramic and fabric meet at the surface—weight and lightness, permanence and chance. My textured forms hold a tactile presence, while her colorful textiles introduce play and familiarity. Together, they create a composition that feels both composed and incidental.
Placed behind glass, the work centers on the desire to touch. Translucent layers partially veil the forms, inviting the eye to sense what the hand cannot reach.
The window becomes a point of encounter. Within the rhythm of passing, a small shift occurs—a pause, a moment of curiosity. Echoing Good Haven’s attention to the overlooked, the installation draws focus to quiet sensations.
This collaboration explores how contact can exist without touch, and how material can create connection across distance.
Deze raaminstallatie brengt mijn steengoed objecten samen met de textiele composities van Good Haven, wiens praktijk draait om het heractiveren van alledaagse, gevonden materialen via intuïtie, minimale ingrepen en een subtiele vorm van humor.
Keramiek en textiel ontmoeten elkaar aan het oppervlak—gewicht en lichtheid, duurzaamheid en toeval. Mijn getextureerde vormen dragen een tastbare aanwezigheid, terwijl haar kleurrijke stoffen speelsheid en herkenning introduceren. Samen vormen ze een compositie die zowel doordacht als toevallig aanvoelt.
Geplaatst achter glas, richt het werk zich op het verlangen om aan te raken. Transparante lagen verhullen de vormen gedeeltelijk en nodigen het oog uit om te voelen wat de hand niet kan bereiken.
Het raam wordt een plek van ontmoeting. In het ritme van het voorbijgaan ontstaat een kleine verschuiving—een pauze, een moment van nieuwsgierigheid. In lijn met Good Havens aandacht voor het alledaagse vestigt de installatie de aandacht op subtiele gewaarwordingen.
Deze samenwerking onderzoekt hoe contact kan bestaan zonder aanraking, en hoe materiaal verbinding kan creëren over afstand.
